Udayan Baijal is a filmmaker, Assistant Director and Post Production Editing supervisor. He has worked as Assistant Editor on the Academy Award winning Slumdog Millionaire (Dir, Danny Boyle). His Assistant Director credits include Eat, Pray, Love (Dir. Ryan Murphy), Bollywood Hero (Prod. IFC), The Last Days of the Raj (Dir. Mark Hayhurst, Prod. Channel 4), Broken Thread (Dir Mahesh Mathai, Prod Deepak Nayar) and others. He is the Associate Producer on the independent feature film, For Real (Dir. Sona Jain).

Udayan’s writing and directing credits including A Moment of Respect (Finalist, Berlin Talent Campus, India 2004), Travis (2003), The Cockroach (2004), The Two Executioners (2004), Trivial Pursuit (2005).

Udayan holds a Bachelor in Arts Degree (History, Honors) from St Stephen’s College, Delhi University and a Masters in Mass Communication from MCRC, Jamia Millia Islamia University. He was the 2007 recipient of the prestigious INLAKS Scholarship by the INLAKS Foundation.
